Guinness World Records

The Guinness World Records (GWR) has its origins dating back to the 1950s, when it was initially known as the Guinness Book of Records. If you’re looking for the ultimate authority on records or breaking new records, GWR is the go-to source. With over 70 years of documenting various record-breaking events, it is recognized worldwide and has become a dream for many who aspire to achieve something remarkable.

Although numerous individuals have attempted to earn this Officially Amazing Award from GWR for various feats, many have been unsuccessful in breaking the records they aimed for. Interestingly, while some have successfully received this prestigious award, their achievements often went unnoticed. However, in May 2023, Hilda Baci, a Nigerian woman from Akwa Ibom, attempted to break the record for marathon cooking—a cook-a-thon—and it quickly became a trending topic on social media around the world. She succeeded by setting a record of 93 hours and 11 minutes. Hilda’s triumph motivated people globally, sparking various “attempt-athons.” Although she lost the record later that same year to an Irish chef named Alan Fisher, her success inspired many to pursue the impossible.

48 Hours Workout Marathon

About two years later, Toheeb Yekini, also known as ImagePET, set out to achieve what many considered an extraordinary feat: a 48-hour workout marathon. His decision to host the event in Lagos Mainland aimed to promote fitness and inspire young people in the area. As expected, a large crowd came out to support him from the very start and cheered him on every hour until he reached his finish line of 48 hours of continuous workout.

Anyone familiar with gym workouts can attest that this is a challenging endeavor. Many newcomers to the gym often give up after the first day or a few days unless they have strong motivation or someone encouraging them to continue. The saying “no pain, no gain” highlights the physical discomfort that can make individuals throw in the towel. Nevertheless, ImagePET pressed on with various workouts hour after hour, enduring pain while consuming light food and water to maintain his strength throughout the marathon.

Breaking the GWR

The event officially began at 9:42 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025, with LambanoTV covering it from start to finish. Numerous individuals came out to support him, including Pencil, Watermelon, and the Roro King himself, Akpororo. Arriving just a few hours before the end of the attempt on Sunday, Akpororo joined ImagePET and cycled alongside him for over an hour, lifting his spirits when he was already feeling drained.

On Saturday afternoon, March 15, 2025, ImagePET was seen shedding tears during the workout. Many fans gathered around him to cheer him on, encouraging him not to give up. It was an emotional moment, heightened when his father, Mr. Yekini, decided to ride with him in a show of support. This was a truly special moment for ImagePET, and he persevered to reach his goal.

Our records at LambanoTV show that ImagePET successfully completed a record-breaking 48-hour workout marathon on Sunday, March 16, 2025. He added an extra minute before finishing on the cycling equipment. To watch the video of his attempt as he concluded the marathon, please follow the link below.

At the time of this post, ImagePET was still awaiting feedback from the Guinness World Record team. Completing the attempt is only one part of the process; all records must be submitted to GWR for thorough verification. Confirmation is only provided after this process, and the official time is announced by the Guinness World Record team. As a result, anticipation is building for the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT, as everyone awaits news of whether ImagePET has successfully achieved the Guinness World Record for the Longest Workout by an individual.

If you were to describe his attempt in one word, what would it be?
